This New Year, like every other year, will bring significant changes to the Gay Archipelago. Othon Weiland and Garth Raleigh have announced their retirements from the GA Publicity and GA Lead positions effective January 19, 2014, and February 13, 2014, respectively. We thank both of them for their many years of service to our community, and we wish them the best in their future endeavors.
Garth has tasked all of us to think about what it is we would like the GA to become, and to do, TOGETHER. At today’s owners meeting a discovery committee was formed to vet candidates for the open positions. The committee includes Myles Capalini, Draghan Marksman, DragonLord Sparta, Loki Kahanamoku, Crito Galthier and Belko Rau. Additionally, they have been tasked to determine what qualities and qualifications they want to see in our future GA Lead and GA PR director.
Additionally, the GA Sandbox and the Gay Archipelago sims are available for sale. Both are for sale for zero linden and the purchaser would pay the transfer fee. GA Sandbox is a homestead sim and Gay Archipleago is an openspace sim. Linden Labs requires that the purchasers currently and continue to own a full sim.
There will be a full GA Owners and Officers meeting on February 2, 2014 at 12pm to determine who will lead us on our path forward. All Owners and Officers should plan on attending.
