Second Life has unexpected surprises; it can be the system itself or a secret action of your friends.
June 25 was my 6th rezzday and only a few friends knew that. This year not a reason to organize a party, because in near future a lot of events are planned and that takes all my time and attention.
I was asked to come to Brokeback sim for a meeting. I did not ask what was on the agenda, thinking it would be a discussion about the performances of the GA Summer Festival or a regular meeting of the Fabrice Snook Foundation. A teleport brought me to a mysterious cave with a huge crowd… yelling ‘Surprise, surprise’. The full board and some performers of Theatre on the Hill, active GA officers, estate owners, friends from all over the grid were dancing and some looked like it was Halloween or Carnival. Oliver gave me a personal mini concert, Jonathan jumped out of a cake and showed a naughty version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and all of a sudden DJ Johnny was streaming party songs. Some had to go back to non-virtual world, but the present friends watched their on-line lists and more and more boys and girls poofed in. Almost 4 hours a reunion of old and new friends, kind words and some presents. A lot of parties are silent only gesturebating visitors ask for attention. This party was different, all were joking, teasing and telling old funny stories – this is what a real party means – having quality time. I like to thank all who kept this secret for me and all who made this party an unforgettable evening for me.
